Apple Intelligence generating split-flap messages
Apple Intelligence

AI that writes messages that fit.

Type a prompt — 'fun happy-hour lines for a sports bar' — and on-device Apple Intelligence generates messages sized to your exact grid, then adds them to rotation like a live feed. Length is calculated from your board so nothing overflows or looks sparse.

It’s private by design — text never leaves the device — and content guardrails keep messages on-brand and appropriate.

Requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro and later, Apple silicon iPad & Mac). Hidden on unsupported devices.

Remote API · For tinkerers

Post to your board from anything on your network.

Turn on the built-in REST API and your board becomes a network display. Any script, shortcut, smart-home hub or build server that can send an HTTP request can put a message on screen — and choose the theme it appears in.

  • Pick the theme per message
    Send splitflap.solari, led.basic, cyberpunk.neon or any of the 11 theme IDs with a message — or leave it out to keep the current look.
  • Whole playlists in one call
    Push a rotation of messages, each with its own theme and on-screen duration.
  • Local and token-protected
    The server runs on the device itself. Requests stay on your Wi-Fi and need a bearer token you choose — no cloud, no account.
  • Remote Mode that stays put
    While the API is on, the board shows what you send and keeps it through restarts. Switch it off and your local playlists pick right back up.

Premium feature, off by default. Turn it on in Settings → Remote API, set a token, and the app shows your board’s address and endpoints. Works on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Rich formatting

Premium. Color by character, line or whole message with an easy editor, plus left / center / right alignment. The board recalculates its grid instantly. Colors and alignment work in Split-Flap, LED Dot Matrix, Retro Marquee and Cyberpunk Neon; Word Matrix supports colors.

Scheduling

Set messages to appear at specific times and dates — morning specials, event days, after-hours notices — and the playlist takes care of the rest.

Fullscreen mode

Premium. One tap to immersive, edge-to-edge playback with no navigation chrome. The grid resizes to fill the screen with no cropped tiles, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Per-message timing

Give each message its own dwell time. Mix quick flashes and long holds in a single rotation — live feeds keep their own durations too.

Nine languages

Fully localized in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Spanish (MX), Japanese, Korean and Portuguese (BR). The app follows your device language automatically.

Private & offline

No accounts, no cloud sync, no tracking. Your messages and photos stay on your device. Only feeds and AI use the network.

Unlimited playlists

Premium. Organize messages into as many playlists as you need. Active playlists rotate in order, and you can toggle any playlist on or off at any time.

Per-message sound

Toggle sound for each message in a playlist. Keep the room quiet and let just one announcement clack to turn heads. Works in every theme with sound — Galaxy Crawl's ambient soundtrack follows the global audio switch, and Background Image is silent.
